My grandfather, Harvey Coleman Sr. started Coleman Motor Co. in Sheffield ,Alabama in about 1949.
My father became a partner in 1950 and we sold Nash, Rambler Jeep & GMC's until closure in about 1962.
It was located at 204 Nashville Ave, Sheffield, AL and the bldg still remains as a public utility service center.
PIC is inside Coleman Motor Co. in Sheffield Alabama in 1952. It pictures a new Nash and owner Harvey Coleman Sr. (my grandfather) far left.
Then on the right grouping, Harvey Coleman Jr. (my Dad) is #2, with big smile (because he's standing next to me,
but I can assure U I'm not that short or slim anymore and dress far flashier) and no tie showing.
The other employees are unknown to me. Both my grandfather and dad are deceased.
These were classic times, and to share just one afternoon there would be a dream...
Last yr the employees permitted me to walk thru the bldg where I spent my Saturdays and enjoyed the tales of "giants", along w/lots of cigar smoke and car talk.
